Gloucester
Point Beach Park offers swimming areas and sandy beaches, perfect
for sunbathing, wading, sand castles and beach fun! The park also
has a large grassy area with picnic facilities, a concession stand,
restrooms and outdoor shower.

Bethel Beach
Nature Preserve is a sandy spit of low dunes and salt marsh habitat
separating the eastern side of Winter Harbor in Mathews County from
the Chesapeake Bay. Scan the beach and offshore bay waters, tidal
lagoons, salt marsh, shrubby swamp, and deeper channels during any
season to discover over 185 species of birds, including 25 species
of shorebirds, that have been sited here.

The Inn at Warner Hall, on the 38 acre
waterfront plantation created in 1642 by George Washington's
great-great grandfather, is listed by both the National Register of
Historic Places and the Virginia Historic Landmarks Commission. It
continues to be of major architectural and genealogical significance
in American history and has long been considered one of the premiere
properties in the Virginia Tidewater area.
